How to choose labels and specialist patches

Start with the job the label or patch needs to do. A branding label carries your logo or name, while a care label carries the information you provide for the garment. A decorative patch adds a separate visual or textured detail. Choose the product format around that purpose.

Compare the finish using the individual product description and images. Woven and printed labels offer different ways to reproduce lettering and artwork; leather, flock and sequin patches provide other surface effects. Available sizes, colours and attachment options vary between products.

Check the lettering at its intended finished size. Send the original artwork and confirm spelling, placement and dimensions when reviewing your proof. For care labels, provide the exact wording and symbols required for your garment rather than assuming they are included in a branding design.

Review the current minimum order and price on the selected product page. If the finish, backing or dimensions you need are not listed, send your artwork, intended use, quantity and delivery requirements for review before ordering.
