Best size for a hat patch
For the front of a cap, most hat patches are 2 to 3 inches high and 2.5 to 3.5 inches wide. Rectangles, ovals, hexagons and shields fit the crown well. For beanies, a 2 to 2.5 inch patch on the cuff works best.
Which backing to choose
