Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 25 pieces for Ultra Vivid Patches. Larger quantities lower the price per patch.
Is there a minimum order?
You can order from 1 piece. Orders under 25 pieces are priced at the 25 piece rate.
How is my price worked out?
The price comes from the average of the width and height you enter, rounded up to the next half inch, and the quantity you order.
Which backings can I choose?
You can choose plain backing, Pellon backing, iron-on backing, tape backing, Single Velcro (hook side), Double Velcro (hook and loop), safety pin backing or key chain. Plain backing is included. Any extra cost for the others shows when you select them.
Which backing holds best?
Sewing it on is the most secure option and lasts through regular washing. Velcro is best if you want to remove or swap it. Iron-on is quick for cotton and polyester, but avoid it on nylon, leather and waterproof fabrics.
Can I choose the colours?
Yes. We match the colours to your artwork. You can also pick the border colour from our thread chart, or choose Same as my artwork. If you have Pantone (PMS) colours, add them in the instructions box.
Are there any design limits?
Most designs can be made. If a detail is too small or thin for this method, we will adjust it and show you the change on your proof before production starts.
Which artwork files can I send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) reproduce best. High resolution PNG, JPG, PSD or TIFF files also work well.
What if my artwork is not ready yet?
Choose Email later and send your artwork after you order, or choose Get design help and tell us your idea. Production only starts once you approve the artwork.
Do I see a proof first?
Yes. A digital proof is sent for you to check before production starts.
Can I see a real sample before production?
Yes, for orders of 100 pieces or more. You can ask for a photo of your actual item before we make the full order. The extra cost is shown next to the option.
What extras can I add?
You can add sequential numbering or an individual polybag for each piece.
How long does production take?
You choose this at the last step. The standard option is ready to ship in 12 working days at no extra cost. Faster options from 5 working days cost more, and a slower option costs less. The date shown is when your order is ready to ship, not when it arrives.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is free to UK addresses.
How do I care for my patches?
Wash inside out on a cool cycle and avoid tumble drying. If an edge lifts, a few stitches around the edge will hold it in place.
How are Ultra Vivid Patches different from printed patches?
They use a brighter, more saturated print process, so colours look bolder and fine detail stays sharp.
Can you print gradients and photos?
Yes. Ultra Vivid Patches are made for full-colour artwork, gradients and fine detail that thread cannot reproduce.
What sizes can I order?
Any size from 2 to 20 inches. The price is based on the average of width and height, rounded up to the next half inch.
